Terms and Conditions

Welcome to our website. If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern SIA Grand Baltics's relationship with you in relation to this website.
The term SIA Grand Baltics refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is Brivibas 197b, LV-1039, Riga, Latvia. Our company registration number is 40003952252, registered in Republic of Latvia. The term SIA Grand Baltics refers to the user or viewer of our website.
The use of this website is subject to the following terms of use:

1. Contract.
The contract is between you and SIA Grand Baltics, Brivibas 197b, LV-1039, Riga, Republic of Latvia. It commences when SIA Grand Baltics sends you a confirmation email detailing the reservation (A reservation must be made in the written form by e-mail and accompanied by an acknowledgement of these Terms and Conditions.) you have specified with the final confirmed price. You must check the details and confirm they are correct by paying the invoice. If any of the reservation's details are incorrect - please contact SIA Grand Baltics immediately. Once SIA Grand Baltics receives your deposit SIA Grand Baltics assumes you have checked all the details and that they are correct. Any subsequent changes may incur alteration or cancellation charges.

2. Payment.
All prices on the confirmation email are guaranteed. SIA Grand Baltics accepts payment by bank transfer into our bank account. SIA Grand Baltics requires a deposit of 25% of the total booking cost in order to confirm your booking. This is used to safeguard your reservation. You must pay the outstanding balance at least 4 weeks before your date of arrival. If you fail to pay on time SIA Grand Baltics reserves the right to treat the booking, as cancelled and appropriate cancellation charges will be applied.
If you book 6 weeks or less before departure you must pay in full for your booking immediately.

3. Changes and Cancellation by you.
SIA Grand Baltics is happy to make changes to your booking for FREE as long as there is availability of all accomodations and services, offered by SIA Grand Baltics, on the new dates/times. If however there is a price discrepancy (e.g.: due to only a higher standard of accommodation being available) you will be required to pay the extra balance.
You can cancel your booking at any time. Your cancellation will be accepted when SIA Grand Baltics receives a written confirmation by email from the leader of your group. As our suppliers charge us if SIA Grand Baltics have to cancel on your behalf, SIA Grand Baltics cannot refund your deposit. Any cancellation or changes made within 31 days of arrival date will result in a 100% cancellation charge being applied and no monies can be returned to you.

4. Changes and Cancellation by us.
If SIA Grand Baltics needs to make changes to your booking, you will be informed immediately. It is very unlikely that SIA Grand Baltics will need to cancel your arrangements and SIA Grand Baltics will try our best to avoid this. SIA Grand Baltics will find you suitable alternatives of an equal or better standard. Should you not wish to accept these alternatives (you must inform us about your decision before the services are provided for you/received by you!) then SIA Grand Baltics will give a full refund of all monies paid to us by you. Our liability to you is limited to the amount SIA Grand Baltics receives from you and SIA Grand Baltics cannot therefore compensate for any other costs incurred by you.

5. Our responsibilities
SIA Grand Baltics are responsible for the services provided by them. These services must be of a reasonable standard and as described by SIA Grand Baltics on their website and if not SIA Grand Baltics will be liable to pay you compensation if this has affected the enjoyment of your holiday. Our liability to you is limited to the amount SIA Grand Baltics receives from you and SIA Grand Baltics cannot therefore compensate for any other costs incurred by you.
SIA Grand Baltics do not accept responsibility for any loss or damages caused by any member of your group, failure of someone providing services not connected with us, anyone not connected with either group or reasons due to force majeure. Our liability in all cases shall be limited to the total amount paid to us by you.
Our suppliers provide some of the activities SIA Grand Baltics offer. In those instances SIA Grand Baltics acts solely as a booking agent for them. Although SIA Grand Baltics promotes them, this should not be interpreted as a recommendation to take part. SIA Grand Baltics accept no liability whatsoever for any harm, injury or loss including physical or otherwise and even death as a result of taking part in an activity. Whilst SIA Grand Baltics only work with suppliers SIA Grand Baltics believe to be highly reputable, SIA Grand Baltics cannot be held responsible for any false representations given to us by the suppliers.
Please note that some activities may also be considered "hazardous pursuits" by insurance companies and may require a premium if you wish to be adequately covered by the policy you decide to take out.
SIA Grand Baltics reserves the right to limit its own responsibilities according to the laws and regulations currently effective in Latvia.

6. Your responsibilities
SIA Grand Baltics wants you and your group to have a great time, SIA Grand Baltics therefore expect you to behave in an appropriate manner at all times. You will be responsible for any damage caused by you or any member of your party. If someone in authority deems you or any member of your group unfit to travel or consider that you are causing discomfort to other people and ask you to leave the accommodation, excursion or activity then our contract will be terminated at that moment. SIA Grand Baltics will have no further obligation to you and full cancellation charges will apply.
You shall commit to:
Comply with the Latvian laws, requirements and formalities of local police, health and other public authority;
Act in a courteous manner towards the SIA Grand Baltics employees, guides and representatives and obey the instructions of the tour guide and/or group leader during the whole tour;
Cooperate with transport, hotel, restaurant operators and other providers and comply with their terms and rules under which such services are provided;
Respect the customs and traditions of local residents and rules of traditional dwellings; and, in general, of all such places where you alone are responsible for your acts;

7. Passports, Visas and Health
EU citizens do not need a visa to travel to Latvia but are required to hold a valid passport valid for six months beyond the date of return. Citizens of other countries may have different requirements and should check article on our site in Other services/Visa. SIA Grand Baltics are in no way responsible for anyone not being admitted to a country due to incorrect documentation and shall award no refunds should this happen.
You must tell us of any disability or medical condition that any member of your party has that may require special assistance before you make a booking. Should you not do this SIA Grand Baltics reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the appropriate cancellation charges.

8. Insurance
SIA Grand Baltics highly recommends you to obtain appropriate international insurance valid during the entire stay in Latvia, providing necessary travel coverage including but not limited to return expenses, medical expenses, expenses arising out of cancellation and/or modification, loss of luggage, accident and repatriation. SIA Grand Baltics shall not be liable whatsoever for any consequences that may arise out of the yours failure or negligence to obtain such insurance.

9. Your transport
Your flights to your destination are bound by the terms and conditions of your airline. SIA Grand Baltics cannot be held responsible for any losses financial or otherwise due to late flights or lost baggage including missing any part of your scheduled activities.

10. Complaints
If you have any complaint — please let us know as soon as possible so SIA Grand Baltics can rectify matters quickly and smoothly. Any complaints made after the holiday have to be made in writing not more than 7 days from the completion of the trip. Claims submitted after this deadline shall not be considered. However, no claim against SIA Grand Baltics arising out of, or relating to, these Terms and Condision, the tour, or events or omissions that occur during or in connection with the tour, shall exceed the amount actually paid you to SIA Grand Baltics for the tour. SIA Grand Baltics shall not be liable for any damages or losses other than damages or losses that are actually incurred and already paid for you, nor shall SIA Grand Baltics be liable for any consequential damages, future damages, lost profit, lost opportunity, mental anguish, or pain and suffering. Our liability to you is limited to the amount SIA Grand Baltics receives from you and SIA Grand Baltics cannot therefore compensate for any other costs incurred by you.

These terms and conditions are in place to ensure the smooth running and enjoyment of your trip.
Terms and conditions are governed by Latvian Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Latvian Courts.
